Election Regulations
SECTION 1. The Election Board will set forth the procedures for the conduct of the election process.
All officers of the Osage Shareholders Association will be elected by majority vote of the members of the Osage Shareholders Association who are shareholders. To be eligible to vote in the election, you must be a shareholder.
Election of Officers shall be held at the regular scheduled meeting in May of each year.
SECTION 2. Nominations
Nominations for office will be held at the regular scheduled meeting on the 3rd Sunday of the month, thirty days before the election. To be nominated for office, a second needs to follow. If there is no second, the nomination will be void. The nominated person needs to accept that nomination before it becomes valid. Additional nominations will be accepted from the floor at the meeting provided the nominee is willing to accept.
The President shall appoint, with the approval of the Executive Board, and at least two (2) months prior to the May election, a Nominating Committee Chairperson who shall be a member of the Executive Board and two (2) Nominating Committee members who need not be Executive Board members. The Nominating Committee shall prepare a list of candidates for each office that is being vacated. The list of candidates will be mailed out at least 30 days prior to the election.
In case of a vacancy in any of the offices caused by transfer, resignation, or other reason, the President shall, with the approval of Executive Board, appoint another person to fill the unexpired term of office.
SECTION 3. Ballots
(a) Ballots shall be printed and mailed to each qualified voting member. There will be a space to mark for each candidate, only one mark per candidate will be accepted. If you make a mistake and change your vote, you need to cross out that mistake and initial your change. No duplicates will be accepted. Mark ballots with a No. 2 pencil, if at all possible.
(b) Ballots will be mailed by the election board in order to provide adequate time for the voters to mark and return them to the election board. The ballot shall be received by mail no later than 12:00 noon on the 3rd Saturday before the regular scheduled meeting.
(c) Ballots shall be submitted by mail. Ballots brought by hand to the regular scheduled election meeting will not be accepted.
SECTION 4. Counting Ballots
The ballots shall be counted by the election board the morning of the regular scheduled meeting on the day of the election. A majority of the votes shall decide the winner of that office. Tie votes, if any will, shall be handled by a run off election. The determination regarding procedures will be set forth by the Election Board.
Following the counting of the ballots, the Election Board shall issue a certificate of election results and provide an accounting of all ballots. The ballots received by the Election Board will be kept for a period of six (6) months so that a review of the ballots can be held in case of a dispute.

The following "Offices" shall be listed on the official Election Ballot as follows:
